MONTRÉAL CITY OF GLASS IN 2010

Initiated by the Board of Montréal Museum Directors (BMMD), glass will be the main focus for about twenty of Montréal’s Museums in 2010. Every aspect of glass will be covered: architectural, artistic, environmental, historical, scientific, etc. From April until December 2010, exhibitions, demonstrations, movies, lectures, all kinds of activities will put glass on center stage. www.villedeverre.com

Also, Espace VERRE in Montréal will be holding the next Glass Art Association of Canada (GAAC) conference from May 26-30, 2010. International glass artist such as Lucio Bubacco (Italy), Sylvia Levenson (Italy), Anthony Schafermeyer (USA), Clifford Rainey (USA) and canadian internationally reknown glass artists like Susan Edgerley, Sarah Hall, Peter Powning, Donald Robertson and Tyler Rock have already confirmed. On May 2010, a glass fashion show, hosted by our favorite Laura Donefer, combining glass artists and fashion designers will be the culmination of the conference. registration at www.glassartcanada.ca
